Ingatan is a small group of Malaysian researchers focusing on memory studies. It is obvious that this fast growing studies is closely linked to psychology, but it also covers other discipline such as sociology, philosophy, politics, literature and science. In fact, the studies can be seen through the development of several theories related to the subject of memory. What makes memory studies more interesting is that it touches other studies too, for example the study of trauma, history, narrative, empathy, and myth. In this  intricate web of a backdrop, Ingatan aspires to be a common ground in bringing together a diverse range of research backgrounds and researchers, making this field somehow a cross-disciplinary, multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary. Essentially, we do not only publish both popular and semi-popular writings, but also academic papers. We too conduct scholarly activities such as courses, workshops, seminars and conferences. Currently, Ingatan is based at the Institute of Malaysian & International Studies (IKMAS), the National University of Malaysia (UKM). Our community can be reached via office@ingatan.org.
